Hitched.

June 18th was a great, great day!

Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us!

I think Jed and I are going to start a blog together, so watch out for that. It's bound to be hilarious!

Jed Johnson wins Dam to Dam!

Well, the title of this post isn't entirely true, but he sure did a great job! Jed and a few of his buddies trained off and on this spring for the Dam to Dam race. They weren't really looking at it as a "race" per say but enjoyed the run together and the memories made on the soaking wet 12.whatever jog last Saturday morning. Allison and I were able to catch them along with several of our friends at 3 different points throughout the run!

Haley and Elyse were always shocked and pumped to hear Allison and my wild cheering and screaming. I think we scared them more than anything.Jed's so pumped - the finish line is in sight!! Coming in for a high five!

Phil Wickham Concert!

A few weeks ago, our church was involved in a week long mission trip to none other than Des Moines, Iowa! Because of the end of the school year winding down and our 5th grade YCamp trip, I was unable to participate but it was amazing to hear the stories... the city of Des Moines was truly served and loved in many ways!
The final event of the week was a free concert downtown at Simon Estes featuring Jeromy Darling, Steele Croswhite and Phil Wickham. God provided some fabulous weather and almost 2,000 people came out to enjoy the show. It was a really awesome night! Sweet to see so many people come out to hear artists share their hearts for the Lord!

School's Out... For Summer!

Today is the day that kids and teachers alike wait for... the last day of school and the first day of summer. The day is a whirlwind and the result is a mixture of emotions and thoughts - relief that you made it to the end, exhaustion from all of the hours spent on preparing for the end of the year, concern as to whether or not you sent them off with all of the necessary skills and knowledge, thankful that my job offers extended time off in the summer, and more. Today was a great day. I loved my class this year. I loved that I was able to share such a special season of my life with them. It was bittersweet sending them out the door and I did shed a few tears reading through their kind words in their sweet cards and notes.
School is over and now it's time to focus on finishing all of the wedding details and getting ready for June 18th! 16 days and counting! :)

Welcome little one!

My dear friend Kyli and her husband Ben welcomed their bundle of joy into the world today! Here's a link to their blog! Jed and I were able to go visit to make sure she has 10 fingers and 10 toes! :) She in fact does and she's just perfect! It was so fun to see Brynna at just under 5 hours old! Kyli and Ben are going to be fabulous parents!
